These cardamom cookies have a wonderful scent of vanilla and lemon and a wonderfully aromatic taste. The delicate cardamom and crunchy pistachios give them a special flavor. Perfect with tea or coffee, they're simply a treat to fall in love with – a touch of the Orient in every cookie jar!

Ingredients

    For the dough

  • 120 g butter
  • 50 g powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 150 g KOMEKO KUCHENGLÜCK
  • 1 lemon (zest only)
  • 50 g pistachios (unsalted)

Preparation

  1. Prepare the dough:
    Cream together butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla sugar. Add the dry ingredients and lemon zest and mix into a smooth batter. Chop the pistachios and fold in.
  2. Cool:
    Let the dough rest in the refrigerator.
  3. Forms:
    Form the dough into a roll and cut into slices.
  4. Bake:
    Place on a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven until golden brown.
  5. Serve:
    Allow to cool completely before serving. Enjoy!
