Collection: What we stand for

Because conscious nutrition doesn’t have to be a compromise – but a decision for quality and joy of life.
KOMEKO
Our mission for conscious enjoyment

Why we are rethinking gluten-free nutrition

The excellent baking properties of conventional flours cannot be utilized in everyday cooking. This places special demands on the baking recipe in order to influence the binding, texture, shelf life, and especially the flavor.

The result is a reduction in quality of life, which more than 5,000,000 people today suffer due to wheat-related illnesses. But more and more people are also consciously avoiding gluten-containing foods – in Germany, this figure is almost nine percent of consumers. A nutrition-conscious life and enjoyment – good and healthy – is a goal to be strived for by a broader public.

We want to help people who suffer from a gluten-related illness or who consciously avoid it.

Our aim: to make this possible – with products that make gluten-free eating enjoyable and suitable for everyday use.

"With natural products of unique quality, we bring uncompromising taste and enjoyment to the gluten-free diet."

KOMEKO
Tradition meets innovation

The power of rice – our secret of success

Our origins lie in the natural beauty of Japan. Why? We draw on the knowledge passed down over many years by Japanese rice farmers to develop our products, allowing us to select the best rice varieties for our customers – and we do this with great dedication and care.

The virtues of KOMEKO lie in the gifts of Japanese nature, tradition, and the expertise of the rice farmers. In a prefecture in the south of the country, we have developed and combined these exquisite blends of selected rice varieties together with a traditional family business. Our high-quality rice flours are unique and make KOMEKO products exceptional.

"Bringing the incomparable taste and enjoyment of gluten-free products to the world – a challenge we want to meet!"
