Pizza rolls

These pizza rolls are perfect for any occasion – fluffy yeast dough, a spicy topping of tomatoes, cheese, and either salami or ham, with aromatic herbs. Ideal as a snack, to go, or simply to enjoy.

Ingredients

    For the dough:

  • 170 ml milk
  • 20 g butter
  • 250 g KOMEKO BROTGENUSS
  • 1 Pack of dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • For the topping

  • 120 g strained tomatoes
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Dried oregano
  • 75 g salami or cooked ham
  • 120 g Grated pizza cheese

Preparation

  1. Prepare the dough:
    Heat milk and butter to lukewarm. Mix KOMEKO BROTGENUSS, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add the milk mixture and knead into a smooth yeast dough.
  2. Roll out the dough:
    Roll out into a rectangle on baking paper.
  3. Surface:
    Mix the tomatoes with salt, pepper, and oregano and spread them on the dough, leaving a border free. Dice the salami or ham and spread them on the dough, then sprinkle with cheese.
  4. Rolling & Cutting:
    Roll out the dough from the long side, cut into about 12 slices and spread on a baking tray.
  5. Resting time:
    Cover with foil and let rise in a warm place for an hour.
  6. Bake:
    Preheat the oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat (fan oven: 180 °C). Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for approx. 15 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Serve and enjoy:
    The pizza rolls taste best when warm. Bon appétit!
