These almond quark balls are slightly crispy on the outside and wonderfully moist on the inside. The quark provides a delicate texture, while almonds and cinnamon deliver a wonderfully aromatic flavor. Perfect for cozy coffee breaks or as a sweet snack between meals.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs (size M)
  • 125 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 250 g quark (45% fat)
  • 2 drops of bitter almond flavor
  • 1 Juice and zest of one lemon
  • 125 g KOMEKO KUCHENGLÜCK
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 125 g almonds, peeled and ground
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 liter of oil or coconut oil for baking

Preparation

  1. Prepare the dough:
    Beat eggs, sugar, and salt until creamy. Stir in quark, flavoring, lemon juice, and zest.
  2. Mix dry ingredients:
    Briefly fold in KOMEKO KUCHENGLÜCK, baking soda and almonds in portions.
  3. Bake:
    Heat oil or coconut oil. Using teaspoons, form balls and fry in batches, turning occasionally. Drain: Remove the balls with a slotted spoon and let them drain on kitchen paper or a wire rack.
  4. Decorate:
    Roll the warm balls in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Serve and enjoy: Bon appetit!
