Ingredients

    For the dough:

  • 200 g butter
  • 240 g sugar
  • 1 Packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of lemon peel
  • 4 drops of vanilla flavor
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 280 g KOMEKO KUCHENGLÜCK
  • 0.5 Pack of baking powder
  • 100 ml milk
  • 20 g cocoa

preparation

  1. Preheat oven
    Preheat oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat (fan oven: 160 °C).
  2. Prepare the butter mixture
    Beat butter with 140g sugar, vanilla sugar, lemon zest, and vanilla extract until fluffy. Add egg yolks one at a time, stirring for 1 minute each.
  3. Whip egg whites
    Beat egg whites with salt until stiff peaks form. Gradually add the remaining sugar.
  4. Finish the dough
    Mix KOMEKO KUCHENGLÜCK with baking powder. Carefully fold the flour mixture, milk, and beaten egg whites into the butter mixture.
  5. Marble dough
    Divide the dough in half. Mix one half with cocoa. Pour the light batter into a greased bundt pan, then spread the dark batter on top. Using a fork, swirl the batter through the dough to create the marbled pattern.
  6. Baking & Serving
    Bake in the preheated oven for 50–60 minutes. Then let cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
