Quick to make, golden brown on the outside and wonderfully soft on the inside – these gluten-free French toasts are a breakfast classic you'll love.

Ingredients

    For the toasts:

  • 8 Slices of toast (see recipe: Plain Toast bread with KOMEKO TOASTGENUSS)
  • 2 Eggs
  • 400 ml milk (plant-based alternative possible)
  • 1 Packet of vanilla sugar
  • 40 g butter (plant-based alternative possible)

Preparation

  1. Prepare egg-milk mixture
    Whisk eggs with milk and vanilla sugar in a bowl.
  2. Soak toast bread
    Place slices of toast into the mixture and let them soak up the oil on both sides for about 1 minute.
  3. Fry bread
    Melt butter in a pan and fry the slices until golden brown on both sides. Repeat until all slices are cooked.
  4. Serve and garnish
    Garnish with honey, maple syrup, powdered sugar, blueberries or jam as desired and serve lukewarm.
