Ingredients

    For the dough:

  • 125 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 pack vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 pcs egg (size M)
  • 1 pack vanilla custard powder
  • 250 g KOMEKO KUCHENGLÜCK
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 5.5 tbsp milk
  • For the icing:

  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • 4.5 tbsp lemon juice
  • food coloring

Preparation

1. Preheat
Preheat the oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat (fan: 180 °C).
2. Prepare the dough
Using the beaters of a hand mixer, cream together the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time and mix well after each addition. Stir in the custard powder first, then alternate adding KOMEKO KUCHENGLÜCK and baking powder with the milk. Adjust the consistency with the milk if needed – the batter should be thick but spoonable.
3. Prepare the molds & fill
Place the Easter molds onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Portion the batter using 2 tablespoons, spoon it into the molds, and gently press it down with your hands. Fill the molds no more than halfway. Alternatively, shape the batter into round discs by hand and bake without molds.
4. Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for approx. 15 minutes until golden.
5. Glaze & decorate
Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack. Mix powdered sugar, lemon juice, and the desired food coloring into a thick icing. Spread generously over the flat sides of the cookies. Decorate as desired, for example as shown in our photo. Let dry completely.
