These gluten-free cat tongues are delicate, crispy, and buttery – the perfect pastry to enjoy with coffee or as a sweet snack. The airy egg whites make them wonderfully light, while the soft butter gives them their characteristic melt-in-your-mouth texture. For an extra treat, dip the ends in white chocolate – a delight for anyone with a sweet tooth!

Ingredients

  • 150 g KOMEKO KUCHENGLÜCK
  • 200 g butter
  • 200 g sugar or icing sugar
  • 4 egg whites (size M)

Preparation

  1. Prepare the dough:
    Cream the butter and sugar together with a mixer until light and fluffy. Gradually add the egg whites and beat until stiff peaks form.
  2. Incorporate flour:
    Add KOMEKO KUCHENGLÜCK and mix well until a smooth dough is formed.
  3. Forms:
    Fill the dough into a piping bag with a narrow nozzle and pipe it onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving about 3 cm between the lines.
  4. Bake:
    Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 8 minutes until golden brown. Then let cool – the cookies will harden as they cool.
  5. Decorate:
    Decorate with melted white chocolate as desired.
