These apple cinnamon French toasts are golden brown on the outside, soft on the inside, and bursting with autumnal flavors. Juicy apples, cinnamon, and a hint of vanilla make them the perfect breakfast or dessert on cold days.

Ingredients

  • 10 slices of toast (see recipe: Toast bread pur with KOMEKO TOASTGENUSS)
  • 4 Apples
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 100 g cane sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk

Preparation

  1. Prepare the apple topping:
    Peel, core, and dice the apples. Melt butter in a pan, add the apples along with brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice, and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare egg mixture:
    Whisk the eggs and milk in a deep bowl. In a second bowl, mix the remaining sugar with the cinnamon.
  3. Toast:
    Dip bread slices into the egg mixture and fry in butter until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Serve:
    Roll the warm toast in cinnamon sugar and serve with the apple topping.
