With these chocolate quark rolls, you can conjure up small, fluffy pastries with a deliciously chocolatey bite in no time. Whether for breakfast, with coffee, or as a sweet snack – the combination of quark dough and melt-in-the-mouth chocolate is a winner!

Ingredients

    For the dough:

  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 75 g butter (soft)
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • Vanilla Vanilla
  • 250 g quark (low-fat quark if necessary)
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 250 g KOMEKO BROTGENUSS
  • 1 Packet of baking powder
  • 100 g chopped chocolate coating (or chocolate drops)
  • Miscellaneous:

  • 1 egg yolk (for brushing)

Preparation

  1. Preparation
    Preheat oven to 200°C top/bottom heat and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Mix the dough
    Combine sugar, eggs, salt, vanilla, and butter in a bowl and beat until fluffy. Add quark and milk and mix until smooth.
  3. Add dry ingredients
    KOMEKO BROTGENUSS and baking powder, add to the mixture and knead into a dough.
  4. Fold in chocolate
    Fold the chopped chocolate coating or chocolate drops evenly into the batter using a spatula.
  5. Form rolls
    Form rolls from the dough, place them on the baking tray and brush with egg yolk.
  6. Bake
    Bake rolls in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
